MADISONBLUE TOKYO 1st ANNIVERSARY

MADISONBLUE TOKYO has officially reached its 1st anniversary. To mark this milestone, designer and director Mariko Nakayama shares a message reflecting on the time spent alongside the brand and her vision for the future.
We invite you to explore the journey MADISONBLUE has traveled and our resolve as we step into our next chapter.

Thank you for your continued patronage of MADISONBLUE.

Thanks to all of you, our flagship store, "MADISONBLUE TOKYO" in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, has successfully celebrated its 1st anniversary.

Maintaining our unique concept—uncommon in women's fashion—of "enjoying the aging process of clothing," we will continue to use "MADISONBLUE TOKYO" as a base to share new ways to enjoy fashion beyond just wearing it, fostering connections between art and people, and proposing new styles.

As part of this, in 2026, we aim to create a space where fashion and art intersect: in January, we will launch "MB ART SALON" on the second floor of our flagship store; we will support arts education through "Atelier Etoile," an initiative by the international NGO Save the Children, born from our desire to support the children who will lead the future; and we will finally embark on the Paris project we have cherished for so long...

Just as I felt when I launched the brand with six shirt designs at the age of 49, my heart is filled with the excitement of diving into the unknown.

At the same time, I want to continue to cherish the affection for our unchanging daily lives this year.

The early chambray and back-satin pieces in my closet—now beautifully faded and worn with a unique texture—are timeless items that I am certain will continue to serve as essential, irreplaceable staples in my wardrobe this year as well.

I sincerely hope this will be a wonderful year for all of you.

Stay Casual
